Today, Oretha sits at the table—quietly enjoying her bowl of food, content, safe, and loved.
But not long ago, this simple moment was out of reach for her.
In Liberia, double orphans like Oretha have faced unspeakable hardship. Many have been neglected, left to survive in the streets or passed from place to place. Some have gone to bed hungry night after night, learning to live with the ache in their bellies and the heaviness in their hearts. The pain of abandonment and the harshness of poverty have stolen more than just comfort—it has stolen childhood.
But God never forgot.
At Hope 4 Liberia, we’ve been called to stand in that gap.

We exist to step into stories like Oretha’s—to provide more than shelter, more than meals. We provide belonging. We become family. We offer a Christ-centered environment where children are nurtured, discipled, and deeply loved.
Oretha doesn’t have to wonder anymore if she’s wanted. She doesn’t have to go days without food or face nightfall without a bed. She is known. She is seen. She is cared for. And in the heart of our home, she is learning that she is precious in God’s sight.
This is what our calling looks like—meeting real needs with real love, one child at a time.
But we can’t do it alone.
You can be part of Oretha’s story—and the stories of many others like her.
Whether through prayer, giving, serving, or sharing this mission, your partnership matters.

Let’s fill more plates.
Let’s bring more children home.
Let’s say with our lives, “You are not forgotten.”
Because today, Oretha eats with joy.
And tomorrow, she’ll rise in hope.
All because someone chose to love boldly.
