We are incredibly blessed at Hope 4 Liberia to have a team of compassionate and dedicated individuals who pour their hearts into transforming the lives of the children we serve. Today, we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on one such remarkable team member: Foday Sama, our newest registered nurse.
Foday hails from Bong County, located in the heart of Liberia. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and over a decade of experience in rural healthcare, Foday brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to our ministry. His professional journey includes working with the Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and collaborating on healthcare initiatives with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Over the years, Foday has gained extensive knowledge in healthcare management and social work, making him an invaluable addition to our team.
Foday’s core values—integrity, teamwork, and transparency—align beautifully with the mission of Hope 4 Liberia. These principles shine through in everything he does, from his work in the clinic to his interactions with our children, staff, and community. His dedication to excellence and his approachable demeanor have quickly made him an integral part of our family.
Beyond providing exceptional medical care, Foday wears many hats. As a teacher, he collaborates with Nurse Yassah Boye to teach Health Science and Physical Education, imparting essential knowledge about healthy living and fitness to our children. As a mentor and “big brother,” Foday takes time to build meaningful relationships with the boys in our care—engaging in one-on-one conversations, participating in devotions, and offering guidance that fosters trust and growth. His heartfelt love for children is evident in every interaction.
Foday is not only a dedicated professional but also a devoted husband and father of two—a son and a daughter. His deep Christian faith guides every aspect of his life and work. With an easygoing personality and a servant’s heart, Foday inspires everyone around him to embrace the mission of Hope 4 Liberia with love and purpose.
Whether he’s providing medical care, teaching life skills, or sharing a moment of laughter with the children, Foday embodies the heart of our ministry. His presence has already made a profound impact, and we are incredibly grateful to have him on our team.
