We believe that preparing children for the future goes beyond academics. One way we’re achieving this is by introducing our children to farm life right here on our compound.
Recently, our children experienced the excitement of harvesting crops like cassava, bitter bud, oil palm, and more. For some, it was their first glimpse into how food is cultivated and harvested—a hands-on lesson in God’s provision. For others, it was a chance to practice teamwork and responsibility. The smiles on their faces and the joy in their hearts reflected the fulfillment of contributing to something tangible and meaningful.
Why Farm Life Matters
In Liberia, agriculture is a cornerstone of livelihoods and national development. Yet, many young people lack the practical knowledge of farming, leaving them disconnected from this vital industry.
At Hope 4 Liberia, we are bridging this gap by introducing our children to sustainable farming practices. These experiences go beyond simply growing crops—they are about cultivating:
